Botox full face in Dubai is one of the most misunderstood things on any clinic price list, so it is worth clearing up immediately: it does not mean injecting the whole face. A properly planned full-face treatment means assessing how your facial muscles work together, then treating the areas that genuinely need it while deliberately leaving others alone. At Dermabloom Medical Center in Mirdif, Dr Sarah Magdy plans treatment around your movement patterns rather than a fixed template, and will decline areas where treating would cost you more in function than it gains in appearance. To discuss it, call 04 268 8226 or message us on WhatsApp at +971 56 598 6039.
What “Full Face” Actually Covers
The phrase usually describes a coordinated plan across the upper face plus selected lower-face points, not a uniform sweep from hairline to jaw. Treating every muscle would leave a face that cannot express anything, which is precisely the outcome nobody wants.
| Area | What treatment addresses | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Frown lines (glabella) | Vertical lines between the brows | One of the core treated areas |
| Forehead lines | Horizontal lines across the forehead | Dosed carefully — over-treating here drops the brow |
| Crow’s feet | Lines radiating from the outer eyes | Softened, not erased |
| Brow position | A subtle lift by balancing opposing muscles | Millimetres, not a brow lift |
| Bunny lines | Diagonal lines on the sides of the nose | Often treated alongside the glabella |
| Chin and jaw points | Dimpling, downturned mouth corners | Small doses; treated selectively |
| Masseter | Jaw width and clenching | Requires specific experience; not part of every plan |
A note on regulatory status, since honesty here is better than silence: cosmetic use of botulinum toxin is formally approved for certain upper-face areas, while several lower-face uses are widely practised off-label. That is normal in aesthetic medicine, but you are entitled to know which is which, and we will tell you at consultation as part of consent.
What It Will Not Do
Three limits account for most disappointment, so we would rather state them upfront.
- It does not add volume. Hollow temples, flat cheeks and under-eye hollowing need filler. Relaxing muscles does nothing for lost volume.
- It does not lift sagging skin. Jowls and significant laxity need energy-based tightening or, past a point, surgery. A subtle brow adjustment is not a face lift.
- It does not improve skin quality. Texture, pores, dullness and pigmentation are unaffected. Those need resurfacing, needling or medical treatment.
Additionally, deep lines already etched into the skin at rest respond only partially. Toxin softens the movement that created them, and they may improve over months as the skin is no longer creased repeatedly, but a static fold will not vanish. If yours are deep, we will say so rather than promise otherwise.
Units, Not Areas: How to Read a Price
This section will save you money, whichever clinic you choose. Botulinum toxin is dosed in units, and the number of units you need depends on your muscle strength, not on a fixed menu. A man with strong forehead muscles may need considerably more than a woman with fine movement, for the same visible result.
That creates three pricing models across Dubai, and they are not equivalent.
- Per unit — the most transparent. You pay for what you receive and can compare clinics directly, provided the product is the same.
- Per area — convenient, but ask how many units an “area” includes, since definitions vary widely.
- Full-face package — the least transparent. A fixed price can mean under-dosing to protect margin, or treating areas you did not need in order to justify the figure.
So the two questions worth asking anywhere are: which product, and how many units. A price that looks unusually low usually reflects fewer units, a heavily diluted preparation, or a product that is not what you assumed. We use and will tell you the unit count before we treat.
Our Approach: Movement Kept, Not Removed
Frozen faces are not an unfortunate accident; they are the predictable result of treating every muscle at maximum dose. We work the other way round, starting conservatively and reviewing, because adding a little more at two weeks is straightforward whereas waiting out an over-treated forehead takes three months.
Practically, this means assessing the face as a system. The forehead lifts the brow while the glabellar muscles pull it down, so treating one without accounting for the other is how heavy brows and odd arches occur. It also means declining occasionally. If someone in their twenties with no visible lines asks for full-face treatment, our answer is usually to wait, and we would rather have that conversation than take the booking.
Your First Appointment
- Assessment — we watch your face move, discuss what bothers you, and review your medical history, medications and any previous treatments.
- Plan and consent — areas, unit numbers, expected result, duration, risks and which uses are off-label.
- Treatment — a series of small injections with a very fine needle, taking around 10 to 15 minutes. Most patients find it easily tolerable and no anaesthetic is usually needed.
- Aftercare — written instructions before you leave.
- Two-week review — we see you again to assess the result and adjust if needed.
That review appointment is not a formality. It is where a good result is refined, and it is also the appointment many clinics do not offer.
Onset, Duration and Aftercare
Nothing happens immediately. Onset is typically three to seven days, the full effect settles by around two weeks, and duration is usually three to four months, though this varies with dose, area and individual metabolism. Regular treatment sometimes lengthens the interval over time; heavy exercise tends to shorten it.
For the first four hours, stay upright and avoid lying down or pressing on the treated areas. Do not rub or massage the area for 24 hours, and skip the gym, sauna, steam room and facials for the same period. Avoid facial treatments and heat for a few days. Mild redness and small bumps at injection points settle within an hour or two, and bruising is possible but usually minor. A mild headache in the first day or two is not unusual.
Risks Worth Knowing
Botulinum toxin has a long safety record in trained hands, but it is a prescription medicine and not risk-free. Common effects include bruising, injection-point bumps and headache. Less commonly, temporary brow or eyelid heaviness can occur, along with asymmetry, both of which resolve as the effect wears off but can take weeks to do so.
Lower-face treatment carries its own considerations, and this is where inexperience shows most. Treating around the mouth can affect speech, drinking from a cup or the shape of a smile if dosed or placed poorly. Masseter treatment can cause chewing fatigue initially and, if overdone repeatedly, changes to jaw function. Consequently we treat these areas conservatively and only where the indication is clear.
Who Should Not Have It
Treatment is avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of infection at the injection site, and where there is a known allergy to any component of the preparation, including albumin. It is also avoided in neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis and Lambert-Eaton syndrome.
Furthermore, tell us if you take aminoglycoside antibiotics or other medicines affecting neuromuscular transmission, if you are on anticoagulant therapy, or if you have had a previous reaction to botulinum toxin. A complete medication and supplement history is taken at assessment.
Timing Before an Event
Book at least two to three weeks ahead, and preferably a month. The result needs two weeks to settle, and that leaves time for a review adjustment before the day. Treatment the week before a wedding is a genuinely bad idea — bruising has not resolved, the effect is incomplete and asymmetry cannot be corrected in time. If it is your first treatment ever, allow two months and treat the first session as a trial.
Cost
Pricing depends on the product used and the number of units required, which is determined by your muscles rather than by a package. We assess, tell you the unit count and confirm the total before treating, and there is no charge for a review adjustment within the standard window. Call 04 268 8226 for current fees. As a cosmetic treatment it is not covered by insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does full face Botox mean my whole face is injected?
No. It describes a coordinated plan across the upper face plus selected lower-face points where indicated. Treating every facial muscle would remove expression entirely, which is not the aim and not something we would do.
Will I look frozen?
Not if it is dosed conservatively and reviewed. Frozen results come from maximum doses applied to every area at once. We start lower, see you at two weeks and add if needed, since adding is easy and reversing is not.
How many units will I need?
It depends on your muscle strength rather than on a standard menu, and stronger muscles need more for the same result. We assess and tell you the number before treating. Always ask any clinic for both the product and the unit count.
Why do prices vary so much between clinics?
Mostly because of units and product. A low headline price often means fewer units, a heavily diluted preparation, or a different product than you assumed. Per-unit pricing is the easiest to compare; full-face packages are the hardest.
How long does it take to work, and how long does it last?
Onset is three to seven days with the full effect by around two weeks. Duration is typically three to four months, varying with dose, area and individual metabolism. Heavy exercise tends to shorten it.
Will it get rid of my deep forehead lines?
Partially. Lines present at rest respond less than lines that appear on movement, though they may improve over months once the skin is no longer creased repeatedly. Deep static folds will soften rather than disappear.
Can it lift my face or fix sagging?
A subtle brow adjustment is possible by balancing opposing muscles, measured in millimetres. Genuine sagging and jowls need tightening treatments or surgery, and no amount of toxin addresses them.
Does it hurt?
Very little. The needle is extremely fine and the whole treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Anaesthetic is not usually required.
What should I avoid afterwards?
Stay upright for four hours, avoid rubbing or massaging the area for 24 hours, and skip the gym, sauna, steam room and facials for a day. Avoid heat treatments for a few days.
How soon before a wedding should I have it?
Two to three weeks minimum, ideally a month, so the effect settles and a review adjustment is possible. If it is your first ever treatment, allow two months and treat the first session as a trial.
Do you offer a review appointment?
Yes, at two weeks. It is where the result is refined, and adjustment within the standard window is included rather than charged separately.
Who cannot have this treatment?
It is avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, with infection at the injection site, with known allergy to any component including albumin, and in neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis. Tell us about aminoglycoside antibiotics, anticoagulants and any previous reaction to botulinum toxin.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please book ahead on 04 268 8226.
This page provides general information only and is not medical advice or a diagnosis. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine and treatment follows an in-clinic assessment and informed consent, which includes discussion of which uses are approved and which are off-label. Risks include bruising, headache, injection-site reactions, temporary brow or eyelid heaviness, asymmetry and, with lower-face treatment, temporary effects on speech, smile or chewing. Effects are temporary, results vary between individuals and no outcome can be guaranteed. Botulinum toxin does not add volume, lift sagging skin or improve skin quality.
